Situation/Challenge

Exuma was searching for a solution that expands the features and functionality and also enable customers

to mine their own data stored in the DockMaster and RVMaster Solution Suite. Their customers would

benet from having convenient and real-time access to their critical business data, including nancial,

inventory and customer information.

Solution

By integrating Rocket’s D3 OpenDB connectivity tool technology into its DockMaster and RVMaster Solution

Suite, Exuma now provides its customers the ability to easily access critical business data through o the

shelf SQL reporting tools like SSRS and Crystal Report.

DockMaster and RVMaster are powered by the Rocket® D3 Database Management System. "We are very

excited about the release of D3 v9.0. The new features built into version 9.0 are allowing our developers to

create the next-generation DockMaster and RVMaster experience with .NET, which makes version 9.0 the

platform of choice for future releases," stated Cam Collins, President and CEO of Exuma Technologies, Inc.

Rocket D3 OpenDB technology is designed to enable D3-based database products, such as DockMaster, to

connect to ODBC-compliant databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, mySQL and Oracle. Once the

connection is established between D3 and the remote database server, D3 is able to read, write and select

data from the remote database as if were stored in D3.

OpenDB's seamless integration with D3-based solutions like DockMaster and RVMaster provide customers the fast,

convenient access to critical business information needed to make better business decisions. Exuma's platform

allows DockMaster and RVMaster users the ability to run reports created using standard SQL reporting tools.
